Job Summary:

  • The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for supporting the Accounts Payable team. Job duties include answering phones for the department, scanning, merging, and separating invoices in preparation for processing, managing email and other clerical duties as assigned.
Primary Job Function:
  •  Provide customer service to vendors and Strike employees calling into the department. Transfer calls to the appropriate team member.
  • Processing a high volume of invoices into Strike Software for image processing to prepare for payment.
  • Managing email that comes into the department to include receiving invoices, answering employee and vendor emails and forwarding email to the correct team member as needed.
  • Delivering checks to departments within Strike.
  • Assist AP Team with a variety of projects when requested and perform other duties as assigned.
  • The ability to understand the correct format and information to successfully process all incoming invoices.
  • The ability to work separately or as a team on given projects.

Experience:
  • 1 + year of office experience.
  • Previous experience working with invoices and numerical data preferred
.Education/Training: 
  • High school
  • l diploma or equivalent.
Competencies:
  • Proficient in 10 keys with high accuracy rate
  • Familiar in Microsoft products, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Familiar in Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Ability to utilize basic mathematical concepts (add, subtract, multiple, percentages, etc.).
  •  Accuracy, timeliness, and ability to work effectively with employees and managers.
  •  Utilizes organizational skills with good attention to detail and emphasis on quality.
  • Relies on instructions and per-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  •  Displays tactful, mature and professional demeanor with good interpersonal skills including the ability to work with diverse personnel and vendors.
Physical Demands:
  • Regularly required to sit, talk and hear.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
